Finally Friday is here, I know I say it often but what a week! I am happy the weekend is here however my weekend is filled with lots of work but I still plan to catch up with some of my favourite people and have a little fun. I have been feeling a little uncreative lately as I am sure you can tell, I am happy to report I feel like my mojo is back! Last weekend I did my last classes in a scrapbook store, which was sad because I have been working in scrapbook stores for years teaching classes all over Sydney but I have stopped doing it so I can focus on my current career direction, having said that there will also be some changes here coming to my blog and with my Stampin’ Up! business soon. I hope to post a little more now I don’t have classes to design for stores.
Anyway I know you are here not to hear all about me or my week but to see a little eye candy and what I did for this weeks Inkspiration challenge. Keesh gave the DT a colour challenge this week….here are the colours:

Here is my card for this week, I am so happy with this card and just think it is super cute. I don’t think I can part with this one and normally I don’t talk myself up {well I don’t think I normally do anyway} but I am feeling pretty clever for coming up with this one
The Real Red DSP I have used is retired it was from a 2007 Simply Scrappin kit, I hand most of my scrap DSP to my 4 year old niece Bailey so I had to borrow it from her stash….

Loving the inside too….

If your wondering how I made the banner… well I used these stamps from Party Hearty, the row of party hats which I used upside down and punched the “celebrate” out with a small Circle Punch. I love Party Hearty and it is my most used birthday set.

Convention is here and I am SO excited, I thought I would share my card with you I have made as my Convention swap. I made 40 of these little babies and I never want to cut another butterfly out again {lol}…. I started making my swaps over a month ago and just did little parts when I had time so it did not seem like such a big job, that also means I have had glitter all through my house that whole time. At first I did not like my swaps but now I really like them, I am a massive fan of Blush Blossom with Close to Cocoa so I had to give this combo a give for the last time at a Convention as they retire soon.

Inside, I did not do this on all my swaps but this one is for someone very special.

All Materials are from Stampin’ Up! and I will update the details once I get home.
Please leave me a little comment love, I so love hearing from your guys

Just popping in to say…. hello and tell you I have added my twitter profile to my sidebar, I am getting back into updating my twitter account and I am inviting you to follow along
I will be tweeting from Stampin’ Up! Convention with what I am up to and any exciting news that I have, Convention starts Friday but I am heading into the city tomorrow to the “pre” Convention events {lol}. I am going to try to have a few cards saved and going off over the weekend here on my blog while I am at Convention to keep you all going and yes I will show my swap.
I am still sick from last week and shared to get my voice back but it is very ruff and the Doctor told me to just stop trying to talk and rest to try and get better….. hello NO talking its convention time….but I am STILL so excited.

Yay….it’s finally Friday! The end of week and Inkspiration challenge time, it’s a colour challenge this week of Sage Shadow, Basic Grey, Apricot Appeal and Whisper White….. great colours but I have never used them together and I must say when I got the colours I was like WHAT? but they do work well together.
I am going to be quick, I have crawled out of bed to go to the doctors and post this card, I have totally lost my voice and feel like I have been hit in the head…. I need to get better by next week for Stampin’ Up! Convention, at least I have all my swapped made, I am almost packed and pretty much ready to go however I have a bit of work to knock over before Thursday…. But I am SO excited…..

I am pretty happy with this card, I really like the flowers which I have watercoloured with an Aqua Painter, cut out and then glittered, I think they look really effective. For the background I used Tres Chic, which I inked parts of in VersaMark and clear embossed. The Friends stamps is actually from the Friendship jumbo wheel that I chopped up and it is now a great sentiment stamp set. I am learning to embraces the “rip” as Debbie Crouse from 7Gypsies told me to start doing after our class last weekend, I like the rip detail on one side of the flower panel.

Like always….a pretty inside…..

Stampin’ Up! Materials:
Stamps: Echoes of Kindness, Friendship Jumbo Wheel {cut up for the greetings} and Tres Chic
Ink: VersaMark, Basic Grey, Sage Shadow and Apricot Appeal
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey and Sage Shadow
Other: Basic Grey taffeta ribbon, Aqua Painter, Clear Embossing Powder, Two Way Glue and DD Glitter

Friday is finally here…YAY, I am so excited for the weekend I am going to a 7gypsy’s class with two of their designers who are out from the USA on Saturday night at one of the Scrapbook stores I teach for {MTL in Liverpool} and well Sunday is Mothers Day so I am looking forward to treating the Mum’s in my family like Queens and helping my little Nieces to make their Mum a card.
You know Friday also means Inkspiration challenge time and it is a sketch this week, I think because I am feeling SO uncreative at the moment I struggled with this one…. I like “balance” and I keep looking at it thinking it needs something for the top left corner…. But it is good to challenge yourself every so often.

Here is what I did…. I can say it does look better in real life because not all the little details have shown up when I photographed the card, I have stamped the Flourish from Vintage Vogue in Pink Pirouette on the Whisper White Cardstock, The Verse {which I love} is from Echoes of Kindness and I have a added a Riding Hood Red Layer with a ripped edge that is just not showing very well…. I am going to stop selling this card to you {lol}

Inside…. again you can’t see the Pink Pirouette stamping on the Whisper White but I did a light stamp En Français in patches

Stampin’ Up! Materials:
Stamps: Echoes of Kindness, Vintage Vogue and En Français
Ink: Choc Chip and Pink Pirouette
Paper: Whisper White, Choc Chip and Riding Hood Red
Other: Bella Rose DSP, Sherbet {Pretty in Pink} Button

Like my title for this entry!….. for anyone who blogs themselves I am sure you can relate, sometimes you just don’t know what to title a post…. I am feeling very uncreative at the moment, I know it is normal and everyone loses their creative mojo once in a while! Yeah? Well if anyone finds my mojo can they return it….. please
One thing I am excited about and I am pretty sure I am not alone is….Stampin’ Up! Convention is two weeks away and it is in Sydney this year, so at least I don’t need to travel far, this is my second convention and I am really looking forward to catching up with friends and fellow demos. I am sharing a room with Superstar Stamper Marelle Taylor again this year and I also double also her bodyguard….it is my job to keep her safe when all her fans are coming at her for a swaps, photos and just to telling her how amazing is she {it’s ok Marelle, I have your back lol}. Speaking of swaps I am almost finished mine, I did not want to my swaps this year but little Marelle gave me a strong talking to and now…..I am making them, so I thought I would give you a little sneak peak to what I am making….

That was mean….its only the parts and not a finished card….I just wanted to tease you. I would love to hear who is coming to convention? And hope everyone is as excited as me for it

Kirsty, Nikki, Rebecca gave me a butterfly blog award which I appreciate.
Now I must pass this award on to another 10 beautiful blogs and tell you 10 things about myself.

5. New York is my favourite city in the world, and I had my first White Christmas there in 99’

Its Friday again..…{YAY} the end of the week and Inkspiration challenge time again. I just wanted to say sorry to everyone that I have not uploaded many cards over the past three weeks, I have been a busy little chicken but I am happy to report I did get some stamping time in this week and have taken photos today so next week I will be back on track.
This week is a inspiration challenge….. when I first looked at the image, I straight away thought pretty, vintage and Roses, this is one of the easier inspiration challenges that Keesh has set and I can see lots of pretty cards being make this week. If you have never played along….go on… its fun, just go to Kirsty’s site for all the details and add your creation to Mr. Linky so we can check them all out.

Here is what I came up with, lots of stamping and no Pattern Papers! I have just used En Français Background stamp and the Flourish from Vintage Vogue on all three stamped layers, including a little En Français over the Rose layer. On the Brown layer I have added texture by sponging Close to Cocoa Ink over Close to Cocoa Cardstock then stamped the images in Chocolate Chip Ink. For the Pink layer I have clear embossed the images on Regal Rose Cardstock, sponged the edges in Regal Rose Ink then I did a little Emboss Resist by applying White Craft Ink over the Cardstock and wiped off the excess ink. I am really happy with the effect it has created.

I added this shot to try and show you the stamping detail over the Rose and also with the background when I stamp the En Français I have only stamped parts of the image, by having the stamp face up and placing the Cardstock on the stamp {which is the opposite way to how we normally stamp} I only rub parts of Cardstock which creates the “empty” sections were I have then stamped with the Flourish image….. get me???? Also on the Pink background when I embossed I did not worry about wiping away the excess embossing powder as I wanted that to stay because it added to the background effect.

Inside…. as you can tell mine is a Mother’s Day card because it felt like it had a Mother’s Day feel.

Stampin’ Up! Materials:
Stamps: Fifth Ave Floral, Vintage Vogue, Tiny Tags, En Français and Occasional Greetings
Ink: VersaMark, White Craft, Choc Chip, Close to Cocoa and Regal Rose
Paper: Very Vanilla, Choc Chip and Regal Rose
Other: Clear Embossing Powder, Pretties Kit Cream Pearl, Build a Brad and Blender Pen

I got to use one of my new stamp sets I got for my Birthday, LOVE new stamps. I must say Makeesha was a bit tough with this combo….I never work so bright! I guess that’s what good about a stamping challenge.

Inside…. how cute does it look with the little floating away hot air balloon….

Its Friday again, this is my second post of the day….{crazy I know}….and time from another Inkspiration sketch Challenge, I must say Makeesha has out done herself with this sketch, I really love it and I know I will be using it again.
Here is her Sketch and I suggest making time to sit down and play along this week…..

This card is going to my bestie, Elise who is coming to Sydney from Brisbane this weekend for my birthday and to catch up with friends, last week we had one of our long chats on the phone…she has been single for a while {not sure why she is really beautiful but maybe a little too pickie} ….anyway….. she made a comment that she just wanted to find a “Stud”….. being the great friend that I am….. I whipped this up…not sure this is what she was hoping for but she will get a laugh.

Last week I did not do much stamping on my Inkspiration Challenge DT card, but I have made up for that this week….LOTS of stamping and so much fun to just get messy. I have stamped the Sanded background over Boarding Blue Cardstock in a mix of VersaMark and Choc Chip ink, I have then stamped Medallion {from the current Mini} in VersaMark and clear embossed the lot. I then got to the good part…. brayering Choc Chip ink over the surface. I just love the effect it has created. I have stitched the edges and roughened them up. I did cheat a little and moved the greeting down as you can tell from the sketch…. I hope that’s ok
Inside…. I say it all the time but I love doing inside my cards.

All Materials from Stampin’ Up!.
Stamps: Medallion, Wanted and Sanded
Ink: VersaMark, Choc Chip and Boarding Blue
Paper: Very Vanilla, Choc Chip and Boarding Blue
Other: Largest Circle Punch from Mini, Brayer, Vintage Brads and Clear Embossing Powder
