I think I am the luckiest Cardmaking tutor in the world because I have the best groups that take my classes, they are always happy with any card I give them, They are excited every class/everyweek and they all have hearts of gold, But I must admit it I do play favourites and it is public knowledge to ALL my groups that I have a favourite group they are “My little old ladies” who I have on a Friday Morning, Well actually I had not had this group since May because I had taken some time off from classes for personal reasons however when I returned for a the first time last week they are cards and flowers for me, I was “Bloom Away” and may of had a little tear in my eye because they are just SO sweet to me and I just LOVE them to pieces. I hope when I get to their experience level in life of “80″ I am still stamping with friends and living life to the full like they do.

Here are the flowers I received from them, They are the most beautiful Waratah’s and the colours are just amazing. They inspired me to pull out my Bloom Away Stamps from Stampin’ Up! and make a card.

Here is the card I made, The colour combo of Old Olive, Riding Hood Red and Choc Chip came from the flowers.

Hey Hey, Look two days in a row…. Don’t get too excited it wont happen everyday kids Part of my absence from my blog over the past while has been because I have been sick with nothing serious but I just needed to rest and get better, I am now feeling much better and truly on the mend. While I was sick I was truly touched by the many get well cards and gifts I received from customers, Friends and fellow Stampin’ Up Demonstrators, It is amazing how much a card can help heal someone’s spirit. I have made up a bunch of these cards to say thank you to all the wonderful ladies who took the time to make a card for me.

I always find Watercolouring so relaxing and I always enjoy it, Which is funny because I am not normally happy with my outcome, but I was really happy with these cards {maybe because each card was made with lots of love}. I Stamped the image onto SU Watercolour Paper which I do believe is the best Watercolor paper around, I coloured the image with So Saffron and Tangerine Tango on the flower, Old Olive on the leafs and Choc Chip on the branch. I always watercolour with a blender pen and normally I squeeze my closed ink pad and then pick up the ink from the inside lid.

I have finally started playing with some of my new products from the Spring Mini to make a card for my Bestie Elise, I just LOVE this girl; We have been through SO much together and Elise is moving to Queensland very soon with her Family and I am going to miss her SO very much, but I just know that the friendship we have will last the distance… Hance the “Friends Forever” greeting from the Summer Love Rub-Ons which coordinates with the “Great Friend” stamp set and the same with the “Walk in the Park” Designer Series Papers that I have also used.

How cute is my button? I have used the Clear Buttons on page 151 of the Catalogue and I have cut a circle of the “Walk in the Park” Designer Series Paper and attached the circle to the back of clear button. I think the clear buttons are a great thing to have in your stash because you can use them in any project by added coordinating Papers.

Guess WHAT???? Elise has also been giving me a little A LOT of stick about not updating my blog so in an effort to keep Elise happy I have already lined up tomorrows post….SO I will be back Tomorrow…. Everyone can Thank Elise for that.

Miss me???? I know some people did because I have the emails to prove it {lol}. Well I have been back from Brisbane for a few days but I was straight back into classes, Which was not a great idea because I am still a little frazzled from all the excitement of the past week… I had such a wonderful time at the expo and I really enjoyed all my classes and everyone was just so lovely and friendly. I was able to catch up with old friends and make new ones, I don’t want to name drop but one of my new friends is the amazing and talented Zoe Pearn, Zoe is a Paper designer for My Minds Eye Which is one of my fave paper company’s. Her papers are wonderful and I love her Scrapbook style, She is an Aussie designing for an American based company, She designs from her Studio in Brisbane but I thought she was American, So when she started talking I was a little surprised to hear the Australian accent. I am pretty sure this is not the last time I will speak of Zoe {wink}

I want to thank the girls at Scrapapple Angela, Louisa and Stacey for having me teach for them, A huge thankyou to the my classroom assistants essentially Janelle and I really need to thank my Mum who saved the day several times over the week including when we got a flat tyre on my car in the middle of Brisbane and she quite bravely went into a worksite and asked some lovely guys to come and help, While I stood at my car saying No, Mum I can do it myself…. Then the guys come over and I could not even workout where my spare tyre was, Which just incase anyone else drives a PT Cruiser, our spare tyre is under the car {lol}.

I do have a little more exciting news to share about the expo but I can’t spill the beans yet…. As soon as I can I will let you know.

I do have a card to show you after all my chit chat, This is one of the cards that we did in my class this week after I got home. It is just a cute card from the front how you can see the little girl through the Window.

To start with I just want to Thank everyone for the sweet and very supportive response I received over the past two days, I am very touched and grateful to have so many lovely readers and friends. Thank you really…..

One of my Favourite Techniques is brayering, I just love the simple effect it creates and it just works so well with all the Silhouette stamps we have in the Catalogue. This card is really very simple, all I have done is stamped the image in Night of Navy on Whisper white Cardstock and Baja Breeze grass. Then started to brayer Baja Breeze from the top and working my way down the cardstock. Then I added a little Night of Navy along the top.

I have used Urban Garden Designer Series Paper for the Background, I just love using Printed Papers on my cards, and I really love that with Stampin’ Up! my Printed Papers match the inks and in some case’s they even match my stamps. I just love how new stamps and supplies can bring back your Mojo….I think it’s safe to say my “dry” spell is over, For the past few months I just feel like I had lost my Mojo, My “wow” factor….But I have been making a few cards this week using some of my new stamps and I feel like I have it back, This is just the start of the new cards….. I know they are good cards because My Sister {who does not really get the Cardmaking/stamping thing} said she liked them….. SHOCK.

Anyway, I have used Friends 24-7 and A Rose is a Rose to create this card. I must say these are my two Favourite sets from the new Catty…….SO MANY nice sets but…. AND the new papers…..OMG……… You will see over the next few posts I am loving the new papers. Just a couple of things on this card, I have used the new Build a Brad {which I loooooove} I attached a large Pearl from the Pretties kit in the centre and following the “flag” trend that is huge in Papercraft at the moment I cut a strip of paper then using my square punch I just create the V {SO much easier then just cutting it cut with paper snips}
