I can’t believe it’s the weekend again, I have NO idea where this week went? AND further more I can’t believe its under 50 days until Christmas OMG, I have made lots of Christmas cards so I am covered in that department but I still have not really started shopping and thinking about all the gifts I need to give, One project I have designed for Christmas is this stocking box which is part of my “Sweet Treats” class that I am having this week. I think it is totally cute and fast to make, I have just put some “milk bottle” lollies in a cello bag inside the box and it is a prefect gift to give a co-worker, neighbour, kids teacher or anyone that you just want to give a little something to. If you are interested in more cute packaging ideas for sweet or small treat gift giving this Christmas here are my dates for this week, Or if have a group of friends interested I can bring this class to you at your home {min of 6 people}.

Inspired Ghost

inspired-ghost-baja-line.jpg

My title for this blog entry makes me laugh because I am SO not inspired as you know but the “Inspired” comes from the stamps I used called “Inspired by Nature” which I just love, It is a stamp set that is SO easy to use and no matter what you do it looks ok. In an effort to get inspired and find my missing mojo I pulled out some old Technique notes and found notes on Ghosting and thought I would give it a go. It was a fun technique as all you do is brayer ink over Vellum and while the ink is wet stamp a “dry” bold image on the inked up Vellum and the image picks up the ink and creates this lovely and soft reversed image. It’s a great way to use up some vellum because I think every Card marker and even Scrapbookers have lots of vellum in their stash that is hardly used.

I have attached a little Printed Paper and ribbon on the main image panel, The background is just the Grass image from the Inspired by Nature stamp set which I have clear embossed to add a little pop.

Purely Fabulous

These colours look amazing together, I am lovely Purely pomegranate and the sanded background (which you can’t see very well in the photo) it has a great texture to the cardstock. I saw a similar bag on SCS and this set just popped into me head.
