I am having the most lovely weekend, I stamped all day today making cards for ME to give away, not cards that I need to make for classes, design work or magazine work and it was lovely to not work with restrictions, I love “ME“ stamping sessions. I have had issues with my creative mojo most of this year it has felt but I am starting to feel I am slowly finding my mojo again. I have a few birthdays coming up that require “special cards” so that’s what I was working on today and this card is one of the cards I made today. I have used Beate’s weekend sketch {WSC102} I love her sketches. I have used Summer Love Rub-Ons, Great Friend Stamps and Walk in the Park papers from the current Spring Mini from Stampin’ Up!.

Here is the Beate’s weekend sketch {WSC102}

And inside the card with a Butterfly image I have applied a “Inspire” Rub-On over, This is very suitable because this friend that is receiving this card is so inspiring. I just need to write my message inside, I can’t believe I did not start decorating the insides of my years ago because they look so nice and feel ‘finished’.

Simple Tree Trimming

Tree Trimmings is one of my fave Christmas Set this year. It is in the Spring Mini and Super value at only $24.95. I could not wait to get playing with it and get a head start on my Christmas Card. For me Christmas Cards need to be simple because I make so many of them. This card is just very simple with only a few layers which I am not used to but I am really happy with this card.

To make this card, All I have done is folded Old Olive A5 Cardstock in Half. Tied Ribbon around a piece of Baja Breeze and attached to the front of the card as shown. For the main image panel I have stamps the Strings in Choc Chip at different levels using a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to make sure they are all straight, While I had the Choc Chip ink pad open I stamped the greeting for Best Yet. The Christmas balls were Stamped on Whisper White then cut out and attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the end of each string. I guess I could of made the cards a bit quicker had I not cut out the balls, BUT…. That’s just not me {lol}.
