I have used lots of new products from the Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue in this card and I got a little carried away making it because I kept adding more and more…. It has lots of layers, embossing, stitching, cutting, ribbon and glitter….. I think it has turned out really pretty.

I always think Baja Breeze and Whisper White are really elegant together. I was so excited when I found out Stampin’ Up! were bring Sizzix out in Australia I have been a long time Sizzix user and LOVED many of the Stampin’ Up! exclusive dies one of my favourites was the Top Note Die which I have used on this card as well as the Ovals Die. The images I have used are from “Vintage Vogue”, I have clear embossing En Francais for the back layer, stitched my edges with my sawing machine then applied DD glitter to the edge using two way glue to the back layer. I LOVE to finish my cards with a pretty inside and I happen to think this is one of my best. I adore the new Top Note Sizzix Die and OMG…..Vintage Vouge is the best and you are going to get sick of me using it…. but I LOVE IT

christmas-classics-tripe-star-line.jpg

OMG Christmas is now under a week away and I still have loads of cards and projects to show you before Christmas comes and goes….. Like most people I am very busy getting ready for Christmas although I finished my shopping weeks ago and made my cards months ago I still feel like I have a million things to do! for the first year I am the family “Chef” this Christmas, this is a role my sister has held for many years and always cooks the most amazing meals for our Christmas celebrations so I have such huge shoes to fill as my niece Bailey who is only 4 told me last week “My Mummy is the best at everything not you Aunty you just do good craft not cooking….Nooooooo {shaking her head} not good cooking” Can you can see what I am up against? Up until Bailey told me that I did not think I was that bad at cooking but wish me luck!

Seeing I am good at craft I better talk about these cards, I have two simple and elegant cards that are very quick to make to share with you today. For both I have stamped the star in Night of Navy ink over the front of the card and sponged the edge, I stamped the star on Navy cardstock in VersaMark and embossing in Silver then punched the image out with the Star Punch. I have embossed the greeting in Silver as well.

nursery-necessities-regal-girl-line.jpg

I am about to enter “baby season” I know so many people who are about to have babies between October and December, but the most important baby coming is from my Sister who is due in a few weeks however I think she will have it early {like any day now}. Yesterday I went with her for the last ultrasound and I am SO excited for her to finally have this baby she has had lots of problems along the way so we all just want her to have the baby and know that everything is OK with her and the baby. It was the best ultrasound so far because we found out the sex as every other ultrasound the legs were crossed so we could not really tell and we got a pretty good look at the face and little hands….So cute.

This is not the card I will give to my Sister but it is going in the stash for one of the other babies that will be coming, I like to have cards pre-made for babies so it is already when I go and meet the new baby and see the Mummy. This was the first time I have used Nursery Necessities but it has been sitting on my shelf for a while waiting for me to make a Baby card, Once I mounted it I realised it really is not limited to a “baby card” I can use the Boat for a boy card and lots of uses for the star’s in the set but I LOVE the cute elephant which I had to use to start off with.

I am not totally loving this card because I feel like it needs something in the bottom right corner but not sure what, I played around with brads, pearls then little buttons in a line but it looked too much… So I left them off. Do you have any suggestions?
