Its Friday again, this is my second post of the day….{crazy I know}….and time from another Inkspiration sketch Challenge, I must say Makeesha has out done herself with this sketch, I really love it and I know I will be using it again.

Here is her Sketch and I suggest making time to sit down and play along this week…..

This card is going to my bestie, Elise who is coming to Sydney from Brisbane this weekend for my birthday and to catch up with friends, last week we had one of our long chats on the phone…she has been single for a while {not sure why she is really beautiful but maybe a little too pickie} ….anyway….. she made a comment that she just wanted to find a “Stud”….. being the great friend that I am….. I whipped this up…not sure this is what she was hoping for but she will get a laugh.

Last week I did not do much stamping on my Inkspiration Challenge DT card, but I have made up for that this week….LOTS of stamping and so much fun to just get messy. I have stamped the Sanded background over Boarding Blue Cardstock in a mix of VersaMark and Choc Chip ink, I have then stamped Medallion {from the current Mini} in VersaMark and clear embossed the lot. I then got to the good part…. brayering Choc Chip ink over the surface. I just love the effect it has created. I have stitched the edges and roughened them up. I did cheat a little and moved the greeting down as you can tell from the sketch…. I hope that’s ok :)

Inside…. I say it all the time but I love doing inside my cards.

Is this really happening? I am VERY excited to announce that I have joined the Inkspiration Design Team…. Are you as shocked as I am? I feel a little pressure because all the other girls are super talented but I am up to the challenge. This means every Friday at 6pm I will update my blog with a Inkspiration project I have created based on that weeks challenge that our fearless leader Makeesha has set and a link for you to play along yourself.

To kick off my first week I was lucky to get a sketch challenge….. Heres the sketch

This was one of those cards you make when you just make a massive mess and have SO much stuff on your desk, you are not sure if you like it so you pull out more stuff and see if that works then walk away to see if “time apart” helps you like it more, It took me a little to warm up to this card but I do really like it in the end.

Inside….. Funny enough I like the inside more then the outside {lol} I have just stamped the tree again and used the greeting “You raise kindness to an art” this is from an upcoming set in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue out April 1st called “Vintage Vouge” and my new FAVE set.

Purely Fabulous

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

These colours look amazing together, I am lovely Purely pomegranate and the sanded background (which you can’t see very well in the photo) it has a great texture to the cardstock. I saw a similar bag on SCS and this set just popped into me head.
