day-15-blush-dazzle-line.jpg

A huge thank you for the lovely emails and comments about my project count down, I really love that positive feedback and I have also been asked LOTS about my bows…… well I have made a video on how I make my bows but it is really bad quality and I just have not had the time to look into how to edit it, however if you have four minutes to spare I have added the VERY poor quality video at the end of this post.

I hope todays card “Razzle Dazzles” you? Well if it does not I can tell you my craft room is most certainly “dazzling” with glitter all over it from this card and other projects I have in the works. I have used a sketch challenge from iheart2stamp.com I flipped the layout but I think it still works. I challenged myself not to use any Pink on this card and pulled out Blush Blossom and Close to Cocoa, it is a colour combo that I have used before and I always think the colours work so well together.

Here is the iheart2stamp.com sketch:

So what do you think? Does Close to Cocoa with Blush Blossom work?

day-15-blush-dazzle-front.jpg

Inside I have just stamped the main image from “Razzle Dazzle” along the bottom and applied Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the image with a Two Way Glue Pen. The quote is from Seaworthy and I will admit I bought that set just for that one stamp….. {is that bad}

Ink: VersaMark, Blush Blossom and Close to Cocoa

day-15-heart-bird-line.jpg

Well 2 days into my daily project updates celebrating the end of Sale-A-Bration and the SU! Summer Mini. To make today’s card I have used a sketch challenge from Taylored Expressions and was also inspired by a card that the clever Nicki Tidbold made using the heart from Simply Said, the Bird from Happy Moments {SAB set} and Baroque Motifs.

Here is the sketch:

I am really happy with this card it is just so clean and sharp, I used my FAVE colour combo Baja Breeze with Black and White…… it just works every time.

day-15-heart-bird-front.jpg

As you know by now I love to finish the inside off and this time I have used an other Sale-A-Bration set for the greeting….. “Follow your heart it knows the way” I just love that because sometimes I forget that and let my “head” take over.

Time to Get Excited….. 16 Days to go

Monday, March 15th, 2010

day-16-easter.jpg

Any Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator or Veteran Customer would say that this is the most exciting time of the Stampin’ Up! year because its Sale-A-Bration….. Which means FREE STAMPS….. we are getting closer to the end of Sale-A-Bration and the Summer Mini Catalogue which both end on 31st March 2010. I have a CRAZY idea that I will do a project count down each day for the rest of March……. Yes, that means daily updates of new projects using products from the Summer Mini or Sale-A-Bration Stamps.

I am kicking the ball off by taking up this weeks challenge over at the Just Add Ink blog to create an Easter project, I have used the Chocolate Bunny Stamp from page 3 of the Summer Mini view online HERE. I stamped the Bunny in Chocolate Chip ink on Close to Cocoa Cardstock then cut out the image and sponged the edge of the Bunny to add a little “depth”.

day-16-easter-card.jpg

I made a little basket to hold a real Chocolate Bunny that I am making for all my Family at Easter. This is the basket that super lovely and talented Makeesha Byl wrote a tutorial for over at Splitcoast, HERE is the link. I changed the size a little but it would give you an idea.

Shooting Stars

birthday-spring-line.jpg

Please don’t fall off your seat in shock that I have updated my blog twice in less then 24 hours {shocking I know} but I have actually made a second card using Makeesha’s sketch. This time around it’s a more masculine Birthday card and I totally love this one. I have used SO many stamp sets in this card and my craft desk looks like a bomb has hit it, so I better go clean that up because it is driving me crazy looking at it.

Here is the sketch again just to remind you:

Butterfly Spring

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

butterfly-spring-line.jpg

Every Friday night I go to Makeesha Byl’s blog to see what her challenge is for the week and what the clever DT have come up with and I do this with such excitement but I have never actually joined the fun myself, so I finally completed one of her challenges {yay me} this weekend. I must admit sometimes I look at her challenges and think they are a little too “challenging” for little old me, but at least this time it was easy.

Here is her sketch challenge:

makeesha-sketch-019.jpg

I kept it all Pink for this one because……well I love Pink and can I just say it does look much better in real life with the glitter and the yummy Pink Pirouette from the Summer Mini.

butterfly-spring-front.jpg

When I was making the card I could not decide which butterfly image to use………So I used them all {lol}. It was hard to get a good photo but when you open the card the butterfly’s spring at you. It looks pretty cool if you ask me :)

party-hearty-card-and-box-class-together.jpg

I am so busy my head is spinning, I have SO much work on at the moment but I am making sure I pop in to my blog and share a little creative love. I have had a million birthdays {………well it feels like it anyway} in the past 2 weeks, when I give a card and a gift I always try to coordinate the card and packaging. It does not take much and it creates a real wow.
