I have used lots of new products from the Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue in this card and I got a little carried away making it because I kept adding more and more…. It has lots of layers, embossing, stitching, cutting, ribbon and glitter….. I think it has turned out really pretty.

I always think Baja Breeze and Whisper White are really elegant together. I was so excited when I found out Stampin’ Up! were bring Sizzix out in Australia I have been a long time Sizzix user and LOVED many of the Stampin’ Up! exclusive dies one of my favourites was the Top Note Die which I have used on this card as well as the Ovals Die. The images I have used are from “Vintage Vogue”, I have clear embossing En Francais for the back layer, stitched my edges with my sawing machine then applied DD glitter to the edge using two way glue to the back layer. I have just had a sick yet very excited 4 year old niece leave my house, Bailey was SO glowing after hearing all her comments from the last post….THANK YOU to everyone who commented it has made her day {maybe year} and gave me the warm fuzzes. Can you believe we have only 2 days until the end of Sale-A-Bration and the Summer Mini, if you have seen something I have used and think “gee I need that” then make sure you order before 31st of March and don’t forget when you spend $100 you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration set view the set here online. To sweeten the deal a little more I have a special offer myself for every $100 you spend you go in the draw to win a $100 voucher to spend in the next Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue. This offer is valid until 8pm 31st March. Contact me HERE.

The set I have used today is called Natures Nest and I have used the set before here, this time round I have made it a little rustic and played around with lots of inks with the water colouring of the turtle, like the other card I made with this set it was challenging a little because I normally don’t go for sets like this but I had so much fun making this one.

Special Guest Stamper….. 3 Days to go

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

my-little-bailey-line.jpg

You are in for a real treat today I have a special guest stamper to share a project, my 4 year old niece Bailey Jane is giving you a sneak peek to a new stamp set in the upcoming Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue, The set is called Pony Party and her favourite stamp set. A few weeks ago when I was baby sitting her, she found the set and asked to stamp…. in bad judgment on my behalf I let her stamp unsupervised and she stamped the pony on every piece of paper/cardstock on my desk including finished cards……. I was less then impressed when I walked in my craft room to find her and she turned around to gave me a huge smile and said “look what I did Auntie! Do you like it?” HOW do you answer that? She is just lucky I love her so much.

I have just had a huge weekend with workshops and classes, I came in from my workshop this afternoon and Bailey was over for family dinner I said to everyone I need to quickly go make a card for my blog before dinner. Bailey followed me to my craft room asking questions why I needed to make a card after answering ALL the questions she had, she offered for her to help me “work” and she could make the a card for the “log” {not blog….. log} I could not say no to such a cute offer.

Here is the artist Bailey Jane looking very proud of her artwork: How cute is she…. {love you Bay}

my-little-bailey.jpg

Here is Bailey’s card: She used Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Lavender Lace,Apricot Appeal and Barely Banana Markers

Tomorrow Teneale will post a card for the second last day….. Please leave Bailey a comment she is excited that people might write to her :)

more-candles-for-mari-4.jpg

I am still coming down from my high of spilling the Design Team news, I am overwhelmed and touched by all the lovely comments made… thank you SO much I really needed that yesterday. I have had a very busy 24 hours {well the whole week was really} so I have not had a chance to pop around to all the creations but as soon as I updated my blog I am off to do that…. with excitement.

Last night one of my lovely ladies in my Card Class had a Birthday, so I whipped up a quick card using last weeks
for her. I really loved the sketch and had been meaning to make a card with it all week but only had a change yesterday afternoon, I just love challenges because it helps out my mojo and make me stamp a little faster because I think I have said before I am the slowest stamper in the world {lol}

Here was the sketch:
sssc61.jpg

I have used Party Hearty for this card, on the riding Hood Red strip of the stamped the candles using VersaMark. The papers are Washington Apple and a colour combo I would normally not use but they work so well together.

more-candles-for-mari-1.jpg

Inside I have used a greeting from Sale-A-Bration set Whimsical Words and this time I have used markers to colour the candles.

more-candles-for-mari-2.jpg

I made a batch of cupcakes to celebrate and even made a cupcake topper that matched the card. I think they looks SO cute and tasted great {well so I hear}

See you tomorrow with 3 days to go…..

kindness-autumn-art-1.jpg

Is this really happening? I am VERY excited to announce that I have joined the Inkspiration Design Team…. Are you as shocked as I am? I feel a little pressure because all the other girls are super talented but I am up to the challenge. This means every Friday at 6pm I will update my blog with a Inkspiration project I have created based on that weeks challenge that our fearless leader Makeesha has set and a link for you to play along yourself.

designteamcircle.gif

To kick off my first week I was lucky to get a sketch challenge….. Heres the sketch

kindness-makeesha-sketch-020.JPG

This was one of those cards you make when you just make a massive mess and have SO much stuff on your desk, you are not sure if you like it so you pull out more stuff and see if that works then walk away to see if “time apart” helps you like it more, It took me a little to warm up to this card but I do really like it in the end.

kindness-autumn-art-2.jpg

Inside….. Funny enough I like the inside more then the outside {lol} I have just stamped the tree again and used the greeting “You raise kindness to an art” this is from an upcoming set in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue out April 1st called “Vintage Vouge” and my new FAVE set.

Simple and Sweet….. 6 Days to go

butterfly-simple-line.jpg

The days are clicking down and so are my projects until the last days of Sale-A-Bration and the Summer Mini. Two of my stand out favourite products from the Summer Mini are the Pink Pirouette Ribbon and Butterfly Print stamp set, I have used them both a bit and I am on my fourth roll of Pink Pirouette ribbon thinking I will need to get a few extra rolls because once the Mini ends on March 31st it is gone for good… Very sad really. This is a simple take on THIS card I made a few weeks ago, I needed a little simpler version that I can use at a workshop I have this weekend {waving to Melissa and Christine} I am really happy with this card and this it is super sweet.

Welcome Mojo….. 8 Days

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

welcome-home-line.jpg

I had a welcome boost to my creative Mojo over the past few days and a reminder of what Stampin’ Up! is all about… which is “loving what you do and sharing what you love” on Sunday I attended Jayne Mercer’s downline training day; 4 hours of stamping, catching up with old friends, meeting new faces, informative talks and swapping fun…. Ok maybe the making swaps was not so much fun but getting back all the great ideas from other talented demos made it worth it {I will take a photo of my swap and post later this week}, then I spent Monday Morning stamping with my downline Maree all the way from Cooma we both worked on Easter projects {which again you will see later in the week} then I popped over to another downline Aida in the afternoon and helped her out with some ideas on classes and just chatted.

Enough about me…. You want to see my card! Well I used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch with a little creative license as you will see….

mojo131sketch.png

As you can tell and are most likely shocked I did not use the line of ribbon or a bow! It was just a little too much. In place of the three panels I have stamped the house’s.

Razzle Marelle…… 9 Days to go

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

razzle-dazzle-marelle-line.jpg

I LOVE Razzle Dazzle {can you tell} and I am going to miss that set when the Summer Mini ends, I used it to make my little Stampin’ Buddy Marelle Taylor a Birthday Card last Month. I have been using a bit of Purple lately and I like the colour combo I used on Marelle’s card of Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Almost Amethyst. Can I just say the pressure that I always feel when I make Marelle a card is huge because she is just SO talented I fever she with think what I have made is “crap” mind you so is SO lovely she would never tell me if it was.

I used VersaMark on the Background and Makers to colour the main image, to add a little sparkle I applied Two Way Glue over the “flowers” and sprinkled Dazzling Diamond Glitter. On the Elegant Eggplant cardstock I scored lines to add a little texture and finish the card off my trademark bow.

Stamps: Razzle Dazzle
Ink: VeraMark, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Almost Amethyst
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White and Almost Amethyst

Natures Amethyst…. 10 Days to go

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

natures-nest-purples-line.jpg

Sometimes there’s just nothing like a challenge, for me using Natures Nest from the current Summer Mini is a “challenge” it is just not a set I would normally use but my Mum loves the set and ordered it straight away. She has been hinting for me to use it and give her some ideas, being the wonderful daughter {at times lol} I am, I made up a few cards using this set and as it turned out I “kind of” enjoyed using it. For the first card I used the Dragonfly image and teamed with some tones of Purple for a feminine finish.

Ink: Almost Amethyst, Elegant Eggplant, Ballet Blue and Going Grey

Like-O-Meter………….11 Days to go

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

love-o-meter-line.jpg

We have 11 days until the end of March which is also the end of the Australian Summer Mini and Sale-A-Bration, so please keep joining me daily as I count down the days til the end of the month with new projects. I must say me “Like-O-Meter” of this crazy daily updates is at “I’m over you this” {lol}….. as soon as I saw this “Like-O-Meter” stamp in the Summer Mini I laughed and I think it is a funny stamp not the kind of stamp I can use for lots of people but I have a few people that are close to me that would have a little giggle when they got a card. This one is for a good friend of mine and I know she will have a little giggle when she gets it in the mail, I was going to be a little evil and do “you don’t annoy me” based on a personal joke…. but I played it a little safer. Totally fun to make this card and I am loving this one…..

Materials from Stampin’ Up!:
Stamp: Like-O-Meter from the Summer Mini
Ink: Jet Black StazOn

candy-thanks-line.jpg

It’s finally Friday {yay} it has been a crazy LONG week and I am so looking forward to the weekend. Today’s card is again a little more “cute” then I normally do and it was fun to make, I just love the Sweet Treat Cups from the Summer Mini…. What’s better then a handmade card? A handmade card with chocolate but you don’t need to use chocolate/candy all the time you can use anything small…The options are endless. The Stamp set is called “For Everything” and also from the Summer Mini, I was inspired to make this card after seeing a project that Marelle had made on Incentive Trip last year with this set and the Sweet Treat Cups.

Sail Away….13 Days to go

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

little-boat-line.jpg

I have a little spring in my step today, yesterday I received some VERY exciting news… not just one piece of good news but TWO pieces…. I was totally shocked by both and feel so happy I want to shout from the roof tops but I can’t….. and it is killing me already…. You will need to wait a little to find out. Plus I just realised yesterday I received the most comment I have ever received in ONE day… So thank you for leaving me some love.

Because I am feeling so cheery I thought I would post a cute and colourful card {well as colourful as I get}, I have used the boat from Nursery Necessities and the cute little clouds for from Sale-A-Bration Set Good Neighbours. I cracked open my packet of Carousel Notes to create a round card. I created the waves in the water with the ½ inch Circle Punch.

little-boat-card.jpg

I will be back later today to update the materials list.
