Can you guess???? {Blog Candy}
Just a quick post today, I am at the 3rd Australian Stampin’ Up! Convention in Canberra at the moment so just a quick card that I made last week used Inspired by Nature and the new Friendship wheel. I have not done a give away or blog candy in a while so I thought it would be fun for people to guess what technique I have done on the flower image?
What will you win? My Favourite word set in the new Catty is “Best Yet” on page 19 of the current Australian Catalogue to the first person to answer correctly which technique on the flower. I will also pick a random winner from all the comments to win an In colour ribbon sample pack.

Hi Teneale - if I can’t be at Convention (boo hoo!), I’ll have a go at guessing your technique (love the card). Spray water on rubber, crayon colour direct onto rubber, spray water on stamp again to wet crayon, then stamp onto card. How did I go? Love, Chris xxoo

Probably way off, but I am guessing the bleaching technique has been used on the flowers. Hope you are enjoying convention.

I am guessing using the pastels…do you call it popping pastels?…but I really have no idea…just wanted to say I think the card looks great.

Not sure what its called but I do know that you use water and pastels/crayons. as in the below link.

Beautfil card - i think the technique used is - wet crayon to stamp onto paper, so water on stamp, dry crayon applied to stamp, water on stamp again, then stamp image!

I think it might be where you colour the stamp with watercolour crayons, then spray the stamp with water, then stamp the image onto card stock. I love your card by the way.

This card is beautiful. did you use the watercolor crayons directly on the stamp and then spray them with water? I will have to try to duplicate it once you tell us what it was!

well I’m pretty sure its not bleaching or poppin pastels and agree with the majority that I think it has to be something to do with colouring the stamp with crayons and then misting with water and stamping.
I’m looking forward to finding out as the effect is lovely.

Beautiful card Teneale. Like everyone else says, it’s got something to do with probably crayons on stamp, then spritzing to get the watercolour effect, but what exactly, not sure.

It’s really nice.. whatever it is!! I think it might be direct to rubber with markers, and then slightly sprayed with water mist, then stamped?? Hope you’ve enjoyed Convention

This is a beautiful card. At first I was going to guess watercolor crayons but now I’m thinking maybe you put the ink on the stamp with sponge daubers.

Pretty colour combination, I think you coloured the flower petals with markers and stamped onto a scrap piece of paper ready for 2nd generation image, then coloured the remainder of the stamp with markers, spritzed the leaves with a darker colour then stamped the whole image onto cardstock.
Pretty image, must try and have a play, you’ve changed the whole image of the stamp! clever girl!

It would have to be crayons coloured directly onto the stamps, then lightly sprayed with water & stamped onto Watercolour paper.

I know, I know… You used markers to color the image and “removed” some of the ink creating the “light and shade” just not sure what you used????

Hi Teneale,
Hope the Convention was amazing for you - I’ve seen lots of other blogs where the ladies had a fantastic time.
Given the lovely texture you’ve achieved with this image my guess is that you’ve used sponge daubers to apply the colour from the ink pad to the stamp itself in each of the colours used and then huffed to refresh before stamping the image itself. I think I’ll head home and try this myself tonight!!

I am really enjoying browsing through your blog. I love this card, the petals are so subtle and pretty. I just got this set recently and have been enjoying doing some of the same things you have. Thanks for the inspiration.
