Christmas is over…

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Can you believe Christmas is over, After months of making decorations, cards and gifts it is all over for another year. I must admit I did have a lovely Christmas with family and Santa was very good to me this year…So I hope he was good to you as well. This year I made gifts for many of my Family and Friends which kept me busy in December and I was not able to share until I had given them away, But I can now start sharing them…

Today I have one of the gifts I made for my Wonderful Sister Terrianne, Who Hosted our Family Christmas Lunch this year. Terrianne loves cooking and Christmas so I made her a Christmas recipe tin…

Here is the tin open. I have not labelled the tabs, I thought it would be better for my sister to do that. The recipe cards are from the making memories Fa la la range, The recipe cards are designed to go in a recipe folder but I just cut them down so they would fit inside the tin.

How cute are the charms which I found on the internet a little while ago, They are just prefect.

Wedding bling

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

I was asked to design Wedding cards a little while ago, I made a few cards but one stood out as the winner and THIS was the card I ended up using. Seeing that I am uploading so regularly at the moment I thought I would show one of my Wedding reject cards, Which at the time I did not like but it has grown on me and now I like the “bling-ness” of this card

Joy

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Can you believe Christmas is next week and I STILL have not posted any of my Christmas cards…. How bad is that seeing I started doing Christmas Stamp A Stacks in July, I am trying to find all the ones we have made and will take photos of them and share them with you.

Today I have one of my Favourite Christmas cards I made this year: I used the small snowflake from The Snowflake Spot to create a wreath, the falling snow stamp become berry’s which I added glitter to, And I bet you looking at that perfect bow and thinking “my bows never look like that” well…. I have good news for you, The super clever Marelle Taylor has a Tutorial to show you how to do this bow {thanks Marelle}. Joy is from The Snowflake Spot set as well which I have stamped in Bravo Burgundy. Then just layered the card together as shown. As easy as that.

That’s Fantastic

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

I think one of the best parts of card making is the response I receive when I give my card to Family and Friends, They are always so touched by the love and effort put into their card. Well this week I received the best review ever on one of my cards from my beautiful niece Bailey who turned the big 3 this week, She opened her Card from me carefully and said “that’s Fantastic”, We all laughed because we have never heard her say Fantastic before, but we realised when ever she shows us a painting or drawing she has made we say “that’s Fantastic” to her.

I just have to share the photo of her opening the card like it’s a present….

Here’s what the “Fantastic” card looked like, I used “Pretty Princess” from Stampin’ Up! On Watercolour paper coloured with Makers and a Blender Pen. I have added a little glitter to the dress. The Printed papers are from Anna Griffin (lines) and Sweetwater (dots).

I have this thing about coordinating the gift wrapping with the card, So I stamped white A3 Printer paper with the polka dot star from “In The Star” which is from the NEW Stampin’ Up! Summer Mini. Then covered a chipboard star from Stampin’ Up! Accent and element with the same celery dot paper as the card. I punched out a 32mm circle then a circle scallop to foam a frame, Which a attached to the Star and then mounted a American Crafts thicker “3”.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s card as much as Bailey did, I hope everyone is having a great weekend

Embrace Happiness

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

I am loving the NEW Summer Mini Catalogue check it out here, If you would like a copy of the Summer Mini just drop me an email and I will post one out to you (mail@tenealewilliams.com.au) SO many lovely sets in the Mini and I have used my Favourite two sets here in this card “Embrace Life” and “For Father“.

I have used Embrace Life for the flower image by Watercolouring on Watercolour paper with a Blender pen, I have added Kaiser Pearls to the centre and Crystal effects on the leaves to add a little detail. The Printed Paper I used is also from the Summer Mini called “Ginger Blossom” I scalloped the edge of a piece of Groovy Guava paper. The lovely quote I have stamped is from “For Father”.

I made this small gift to accompany the card as a little thanks to a friend, All did was apply a Stampin’ Up! Rub On’s to a clear pouch, tied a little cream taffeta ribbon around the pouch, I dyed a flower from the Pretties Kit in Groovy Guava and added a pearl to the centre. Inside I have just slipped in some “Ginger Blossom” paper and a few sweets. So quick and easy ;0)
